Analog Notes No. 3
Wednesday Musings
Analog Notes is a midweek pause in the noise. A small letter from my desk—what I’m reading, making, and noticing as I slow down and live a little more off-screen.
Midweek reminder to allow yourself want what you want with no justification or explanation. These are the small things feeding my soul right now:
1. What I’m Reading
10x is Easier Than 2x by Dan Sullivan with Dr. Benjamin Hardy has completely flipped my thinking about wanting what I want and thinking bigGER. Here is a brief description of the book: 10X is not the outcome; it’s a counterintuitive process you can apply every time you want exponential growth in your life and business. To make 10X possible, you must focus on expanding what Dan defines as your four most important freedoms—time, money, relationship, and purpose.
2. What I’m Making
Macaroni & Cheese. It’s that time of year where we flex on our friends and family with our best recipes and trash talk. This competition is not for the weak of heart. Thanksgiving is not the time to experiment with a staple dish. Don’t be putting mess in the mac & cheese or you will be dragged for filth.
3. What’s Feeding My Joy
Holiday lights. I put the tree up a few days ago just so I could look at the lights. It isn’t decorated and honestly, I can’t remember if I decorated it last year. It’s the lights for me. I love the mood they set.
4. A Thought Worth Keeping
The only way to make your present better... is by making your future bigger.” — Dan Sullivan
5. From the Archives
The Lie of Reasonable Desires is a reminder that your joy is always worthy and you don’t need to justify it.
Tiny Things I Loved
– Doing my nails. I’ve finally figured out what to do to make them look like a professional did them. I am very happy with myself and my nails.
– Book recommendations from my friends. Still Here by Whitney Ellison suggested I add Dominion by Addie E. Citchens to my TBR list.
– Finding my pen and stationery people in this Thread.
Until next time, stay curious and keep something this week just for yourself.

I am all about the tree lights, too. I find myself putting up fewer decorations on the tree every year so they don't distract from the glow✨
